Drill and exercise support
TRG personnel are nationally recognized for their expertise in drill and exercise conduct. We have extensive experience providing services to federal, state, tribal, and local level emergency response agencies in the United States and abroad. Our personnel have worked with thousands of response personnel in the development of turnkey exercise support services covering all phases of the exercise cycle, based on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
We are experienced in providing walk-through/coached drills, tabletop exercises, and full-field evaluated exercises involving a variety of radiological and/or chemical scenarios. To add realism to our exercises, we have the ability to use radioactive material sources. Our licensed sources range in activity from those that can safely be handled/carried by personnel for use in pedestrian choke point operations to very high activity sources that can be used to create significant dose rate fields. We also have a wide variety of exercise props, such as radiography cameras, density gauges, and medical isotope shipping packages. These props represent the majority of radioactive material shipments transported and used in general commerce. Our props can be loaded with radioactive material sources or used without sources in exercise events. The use of these items offers a fantastic opportunity for response personnel to exercise with the same materials that they may encounter in real-world events.
